Here is one of the results from my four days of shooting with the Takina 11-16mm lens. The night was raining and had a dark cloud cover, so the scene of Riverside Drive was lit entirely from light polution, necessitating a very long exposure which smoothed out the water and clouds.
I sat a long time watching the sky darken and the clouds rush by, large flocks of small birds twice flew over head as everything readied for the night. The air became chill with the promise of rain. Suddenly the world became dramatic, and I was struck with the realization that everything is profound in its own way.
I watched this small herd of bison across the pond enjoying the full moon. They raced around, butting heads and making the most unbelievable noise. The babies ran around together. There was no doubt that these creatures were celebrating the perfect moment of good weather and beautiful full moon.
