Dreamscape

Very early on a rural backroad, I came across this pastoral setting in deep fog.  The heavy curtain of fog made the scene seem like looking through the lens of peaceful slumber.

Ostrich

This handsome guy stopped running around his pen long enough to come take a good look at me looking at him.  He kept snapping his beak closed on the wire in a gesture that I took to mean he would like to come out and play.

White River National Forest

I don't know what this plant is, but its always been the subject of one of my favorite shots.  The spiky succulent, against the backdrop of the tall trees, is succumbing to colder days.  Its blossoms have wilted, and now it's the home to a number of crawlers and critters.

Summer

Summer in Oklahoma offers fields of wildflowers and plants not found anywhere else.  This Chinese Pistache tree fits right into this patch of wilderness with its uniquely patterned bark and rustling foliage.
