Leaving the prairie behind for a while, here is one of the first night shots I made with my new Tokina 11-16mm.

Is it possible for a bird to have a bad hair day? This handsome emus stands stalwart against the cold wind.

This new born couldn't be very old. He could stand and walk, but would get exhausted easily and just collapse in a heap. His mum was always close by.
